ERAMET communicates on strategic metals.
On Tuesday, March 8th 2011, ERAMET was summoned to the National Assembly in Paris for a public hearing on strategic metals, particularly rare earths. Organised by Claude Birraux (Member of parliament for Haute-Savoie, Chairman of OPECST*) and Christian Kert (MP for Bouches-du-Rhône), the hearing was comprised of two round table discussions: one on rare earths and one on the future of strategic metals.
At the hearing, Philippe Joly, ERAMET Groupe Vice President Strategy and Investor Relations, and Catherine Tissot-Colle, ERAMET Groupe Vice President Communications and Sustainable Development, spoke in the second round table on the topic “How to meet major industrial Groupes’ needs.”
The aim of the public hearing was primarily to weigh up the impact of supply difficulties for French or European industries, but also to identify avenues for reducing the risk of their occurrence or limiting their effects.
