Jean-Philippe Gargowitsch has been appointed Group Safety Director. He will take over from Frédéric Camuset who, after transforming Eramet into one of the leaders of the mining industry in respect of safety, has decided to hand over the reins and refocus on developing the Group’s safety culture.

With over 25 years’ experience in the fields of safety, health and the environment, Jean-Philippe Gargowitsch has held senior positions within a number of international industrial groups, including Rio Tinto, Bouygues Construction, and more recently was a senior consultant for DSS+. He has worked for companies in sectors as diverse as energy, rail and mining, in Africa, Europe and Asia.

We are delighted to welcome Jean-Philippe Gargowitsch. His experience in a wide range of industries and environments is an invaluable asset to help us continue to move safety forward. I would like to extend my warmest thanks to Frédéric Camuset for his commitment over more than five years at the service of the prevention and safety of our operations and our employees. Under his leadership, and with the support of senior management, Eramet has become one of the mining industry’s leaders in respect of safety. I wish Jean-Philippe Gargowitsch the same success, so that we can collectively achieve our only real objective: zero accidents.
